According to reports, 16 tracks from Lil Nas X’s first album have been released.
As Lil Nas X continues to tease the release of his upcoming debut album MONTERO, “INDUSTRY BABY” is now the #1 trending song in music, but it appears that he may need to modify his rollout strategy after sixteen tracks were leaked online this week.
According to HipHopNMore, a total of sixteen tracks from Lil Nas X’s MONTERO recording sessions have been released. It’s unclear how many of them were cleared for the album’s release, but it’s safe to assume that many of them made the final cut.
“Life After Salem,” “Tales Of Dominica,” “Anomaly,” “Dolla Sign Slime,” “Void,” “You Can Awake,” “Scoop,” “One Of Me,” Lost In The Citadel,” and others are among the new tracks that have purportedly been released. The leak also includes music by Miley Cyrus (“Am I Dreaming”) and Sam Smith (“Empathy”), among others. “INDUSTRY BABY” with Jack Harlow, “MONTERO (Call Me By Your Name)” and “SUN GOES DOWN” are among the previously released tracks on the album’s tracklist.
Lil Nas X and his label will have to seriously evaluate if they still want to wait to release the album unless this was part of his planned rollout strategy. Previously, Lil Nas stated that he was not interested in releasing the album soon, preferring to give each song enough time to be released correctly. Unfortunately, he may not have a choice right now.
As of the time of publishing, Lil Nas X has not responded to the rumored leak.
