Dua Lipa is the subject of DaBaby’s most recent Twitter “likes.”
DaBaby has made it clear that he wants to be the country’s top hip-hop villain, revealing his homophobic beliefs and doubling down with a slew of nasty statements this week. During the Rolling Loud event over the weekend, the rapper insulted his followers living with HIV and AIDS, as well as his homosexual admirers, by calling them out. He tried to defend his remarks by arguing that his homosexual followers aren’t the “nasty” AIDS sufferers. Then, at the height of the uproar, he capitalized by releasing a music video.
DaBaby has surpassed himself again again, as he continues to be a huge hot subject on social media, with many seeking to cancel him. Dua Lipa, his “Levitating” partner, previously addressed his homophobia, saying she was “horrified” by his remarks. That led the Charlotte native to “like” a slew of dubious tweets about their song, including ones implying that the song’s popularity is only due to his inclusion.
“So, @DUALIPA, when are you going to take down the remix with @DaBabyDaBaby?! We’re holding our breath “One of Dua’s fans tweeted something that DaBaby loved. “Patiently waiting for @DUALIPA to remove her song with @DaBabyDaBaby from streaming providers,” said another, who was liked by Baby.
The one that has gotten the most attention is, “It’s amusing how the song Levitating by @DUALIPA is only number one because it features @DaBabyDaBaby. Thank you very much. Because Dababy is the only reason I’ve heard of you.”
Dua Lipa has been culturally significant for a while now, thanks to her Grammy-winning album Future Nostalgia from last year. Below are some of DaBaby’s favorite tweets about her.
