Barack Obama has released his 2021 summer playlist and he gives some of your favorite artists some shine.
Cardi B, a rapper, couldn’t keep her emotions in check after her husband Offset and his group Migos were included to the list.
The Bronx beauty used social media to express her feelings over her husband’s inclusion on his list. She wrote the following on Twitter:
“I can see Barack taking crucial calls like ‘ain’t nothing but a little straightenin’ Congrsts lads [sic] @Migos,” says one Twitter user.
On Saturday, July 10, the 44th President of the United States released the 38-song tracklist with the caption:
“There’s a lot to celebrate this summer with so many people coming together with family and friends. Barack Obama stated, “Here’s a playlist of music I’ve been listening to recently–a it’s mix of old and new, famous names and rising artists, and everything in between.”
Classic Motown classics like Stevie Wonder’s “If You Really Love Me” and Smokey Robinson & The Miracles’ “The Tears of a Clown” are among the tracks he included on the playlist.
SZA’s “Good Days,” Silk Sonic’s “Leave the Door Open,” Drake and Lil Baby’s “Wants and Needs,” Jazmine Sullivan’s “Pick Up Your Feelings,” J. Cole’s “Neighbors,” H.E.R.’s “Find a Way” featuring Lil Baby, and Migos’ “Straightenin” are among the current top-charting songs.
To keep things lively, there are songs by Jay-Z (“Allure”), Rihanna (“Desperado”), and Erykah Badu (“Didn’t Cha Know?”).
